Restoration and conservation.

Whether you have an old sampler that needs cleaning and stabilising to prevent further deterioration, a piece of embroidery that needs transferring to a new fabric or a delicate vintage flapper dress with holes and missing beads, like the dress pictured. I am able to restore and conserve your heritage textiles so they can be enjoyed for many generations to come.

Over the years textiles often deteriorate quickly. A combination of UV exposure, damp, incorrect storage and pesky insects can all effect how a textile ages leaving them looking less than desired. I always offer a careful and considered approach to determine the best course of action for your embroidery, allowing for a balance of aesthetics and what is required to preserve the embroidery.

Interiors

When designing any interior space it is important to pay attention to the details, combining finishes and textures, along with careful planning is one of the best ways to transform a ‘nice’ design into a luxurious and welcoming space.

Embroidery is an integral part of soft furnishings, creating texture and points of interest. It can be used for wall art, cushions, curtain hems, personalising linens such as napkins and pillows, canvas footstools and chair backs or embellishing screens for your dressing room. Each item adding that elegant touch and ensuring your space reflects your style and taste.

Bridal

From an early age many of us dream about our wedding, the venue, the flowers, the cake and of course the person we will spend the rest of our lives with, but another key detail is the dress. Finding exactly what you are looking for can take a while, especially if you have found the dream silhouette in the perfect fabric but not quite the right embellishment. I would love to help you realise your dream and embellish your wedding dress to reflect your taste and style.

Perhaps you want to personalise the wedding veil or add the date and your initials to the inside of his suit jacket? Maybe you would like a ring cushion or a personalised gift for the Mother of the bride and your bridesmaids, making them feel extra special on your magical day. I would love to help turn your dreams into reality.
